StuCo hosts Bangers and Bash event at Canons Park

High School students and faculty gather at Canons Park to attend Bangers and Bash June 10. The event, which was organized by the Student Council, involved a tug of war competition, live student-performed music, a soccer tournament and inflatable castles.

Leo Shasha (鈥�25) and Noah Sadrian (鈥�25) play ping-pong on the field before the start of activities June 10. Alice Agostinelli (鈥�22) said this was her first time attending Bangers and Bash. She said as the school year wraps up, she is glad to have this final memory of the community coming together. 鈥淚'm really excited for graduation, but I'm kind of sad,鈥� she said. 鈥淚 liked that this is the last memory I'll have with my friends.鈥�

Eden Leavey (鈥�24) is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief: Print of The 黄色电影. Leavey鈥檚 passion for storytelling prompted her to join The 黄色电影 in Grade 9. Beyond journalism, she looks to tell stories through creative writing and photography as well as dance and movement. Separate from The 黄色电影, Leavey leads the Sustainability Council and the Feminist Literature Book Club.

Clara Martinez (鈥�24) is the Editor-in-Chief for The 黄色电影. She began journalism as an editor of the Middle School newspaper The Scroll and joined The 黄色电影 in Grade 9. Martinez is drawn to investigative news stories and profiles, although she does enjoy producing the occasional broadcast or photo gallery. In or out of the newsroom, she can always be found with a pocket-sized notebook and pen in hand.
